    Hello,

I am having issues with my home page being cut in half basically when it appears on a mobile device. I wasn’t sure what I should be doing to fix this? All the other pages seem fine. It is just the home page that is not showing up correctly…

The blog I need help with is eloquenceandcompanydesigns.com.

    Hi,

    thanks for purchasing this theme.
I just checked your website on mobile and everything is looking fine, i can’t see the problem you wrote.

Can you please explain little bit more, take a screenshot and write me little more info about it.

    All the best,
    Ana

Yes, of course. When I am looking at it from a mobile device the text is halfway cut off. I wasn’t sure how to insert a screen shot here so I made a page with the screen shot you can view here: https://eloquenceandcompany.com/ec-designs/

    Hi Ana,

I am using a android, HTC phone. Also, when I am customizing the site on my computer and go to the phone view, it turns up the same?

    Hi Reeanna,

On my test site, I was able to replicate your issue when using the Front Page template, but when I switched it to the Default template, the text was no longer cut off.

Could you give try switching your homepage from the Front Page template to the Default template and let me know how it goes?

    Hey Kathryn,

can you please let me know which browser u tested it? I was checking on my android phone and wasn’t able to replicate the issue. Let me know if you have more info and I’ll check it out and make a fix for it.

    Thanks,
    Ana

p.s. since you’re not using any of the Front Page template features — such as the front-page only widget areas — this shouldn’t affect anything else on your homepage.

I was checking on my android phone and wasn’t able to replicate the issue.

It only affects very narrow screens. I was able to replicate both on my iPhone 5s, as well as simply by making the browser window as narrow as possible — 335px in Firefox. Look out for a Trac ticket soon. :)

Reeanna – as a temporary workaround until the theme fix, you can add a “mailto” link for your email address instead of putting the raw email address in the body of the post.

    So remove this line:

    (redacted)

Then put a link on the words “Contact us” instead, and in the link field, add mailto:(redacted)

That will give you a clickable email link, and prevent the layout from breaking.

    Hi Kathryn and Ana,

Thank you both so much. I just changed the theme template to default and the site looks just perfect now!

Thanks so much for all your help! :)

    Hello Reeanna!

Glad that the template switch took care of your issue!

Just wanted to let you know that a fix has also been deployed to the theme. The front page template will no longer be cut off on small screens with certain content.

    Hello Reeanna,

thanks for letting me know about the issue. Like Laurel wrote, the fix has been deployed and you are free to use front page template if you need it ;).

    All the best,
    Ana
