    Hi,

My Yumblog footer is now in my right sidebar, and I’ve no idea how it got there or how to move it back to the bottom of the page. Can someone people help?

    The link is ireland-ms.com

The blog I need help with is ireland-ms.com.

    Hi Billie,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m happy to help.
Check out your widgets by going to Appearance > Widgets. Make sure the right widgets are in the footer. See image: http://lift.d.pr/1cbW3/56xgVHlZ

Let me know if you have any other questions.
    Have a great night!

    Hi Angela,

The widgets were and still are displayed correctly in the widget page in wp-admin as you can see here: https://willeke73.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/yumblog-footblog-widgets-displayed-correctly.jpg

But as you can see on my blog otherwise, the WHOLE footer area is displayed in the right hand sidebar as you can see in here: https://willeke73.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/yumblog-footer-displayed-in-the-right-hand-sidebar.jpg

So, the widgets in the footer in the wp-admin page are added correctly, but the footer frame is under the sidebar on the right hand side.

    Hi Billie,

Thanks for sharing those details and screenshots! I appreciate it. I added the WordPress.com staff to this post to see if they could take a more in-depth look.

    Thanks,

The first thing I’d do is look at the HTML structure in all of your text widgets. For example, this one text widget has a bunch of unclosed div tags:

<div align="justify"><b>Quirky, tenacious, and neurologically compromised expat writing about life with multiple sclerosis.</b>

Diagnosed 2,5 years after moving to Ireland, and now living with MS for 10 years, MS is now more than an illness. It's a <b>tool to raise awareness</b> by showing others what life with a chronic neurodegenerative - and therefore progressive - illness is like.

It's often said that <b>knowledge</b> is power, and <b>ignorance</b> is bliss. Things published on my blog might not always be pretty as punch, but it's the unvarnished reality of life with MS. If it helps <b>reduce ignorance</b>, then my goal is achieved.

    <div align="center"><b>Finalist Ireland Blog Awards 2014.</b>
    <b>Shortlisted Ireland Blog Awards 2013.</b>

<div align="center">©WVE and Ireland, MS and Me, 2011-2015.

Be sure to close each div properly with</div> to avoid unbalanced HTML that can throw off your whole layout. Check all your other text widgets as well and let me know how it goes!

    Hi Billie,

I will go ahead and close this topic, if you don’t have anymore questions. I’ll await your response and in a few days will close if I don’t hear anything.

You can always open a new thread if you have additional questions.
    Have a great day!
