Finding the studio theme difficult to use.

Hi there, I am having real difficulty to make this theme simple and look nice exactly how it is advertised. I followed the 3 steps to try and get the thumbnail pictures in a grid layout all nice and equal. Its just causing excess stress that I really do not need right now.

I’m sure it is me going about it the wrong way, please can some one give me a clear step by step on how to make a page with just images seen in this picture linked below,

    Thank you!

I just bought Studio because I wanted to recreate the exact look of how it’s advertised (as you). I managed to get the exact structure so I can help you with this. However the theme seems to have issues with the appearance of the thumbnails grid style gallery. This issues are deal breakers really. I’m going to open a post about that and I invite you to follow it because I bet you’re gonna be in the same case quite soon.

Here is how I proceeded to get the advertised structure:

1/Create a new page and ask the template to be a Portefolio.
2/Create a new post with the name that you want. Then ask “Add media”, on the left sidebar click on “create a gallery”, upload or select your pics, validate with “insert into post”, you’re back on the post: go down on the right and pick a featured pic for your cover which gonna appear on your home page = the portfolio page you created in step #1 AND just under of the “featured pic” box, tic the box in front of the name of your portfolio page. Save the draft or publish it right away, your choice.
3/To get your portfolio posts in the front page: ask “customize” then “front” and tic “your latest posts” and save.
If your post is a draft nothing will be displayed yet on the homepage. if it’s published you’re gonna get what was advertised with a first post. Keep going like this with others posts and it will look nice at this point.

I understood that you’re interested into “thumbnails grid” galleries as I am. I don’t know if you know how to get them. If you do, you’ll see that the thumbnails are awful and the captions disturbing. These issues are going to be the topic of a post that I’m going to open right away.

I hope that was helpful to you. Let me know if you have further questions.

    Hey Anne-Lise and Lightstar,

Sorry for the delayed response, looks like we might need some more detailed documentation for this theme to clarify this. I am going to assign one of our staff members to look into this for us!
