MemberHi there. Let me start to thank you for this beautiful template. :)
Than a have few question regarding the theme’s customization.
Number one, I am having problem with the round button title in every page. When I’m with a desktop view the title is highlight. When I’m with a mobile view the title is just flat there is no background on it. I would like to have the same effect in both views. Hope you understand, here few pictures.
Second, is there any way to have the posts on the homepage? I mean for example to have the homepage with different post and not pages? Maybe with columns or photo grid? I really appreciate your help. Thanks
Pasquale

Theme AuthorHello Pasquale,
Thank you for the feedback, we are so glad you are enjoying our Restaurant Theme! I’ll be glad to help you.
1. Page titles in mobile view – I believe this will need to be fixed with a theme update. I have let our developer know, and we will likely be pushing an update within the next few days to resolve this.
2. Yes, it is possible to have posts displayed on your homepage by selecting the “Your Latest Posts” option under homepage displays (Customize > Homepage Settings > Your Homepage Displays).
The theme update will be automatically installed within your site by WordPress.com Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime. Thanks!
Kind Regards,
Emily
Hi Emily thanks for replying me back.

Thanks for this. :-)

I already tried to do that. But the problem is that it shows me all the entire post that I have. I was wondering if there is any way to show just a small introduction with picture, like a photo grid or something similar. Because, for example, if I have 10 post and they are long 1000 words, my homepage will be so so long to scroll. Could you help me with that? Thank you.

Theme AuthorHi Pasquale,
Within your posts, I recommend adding “Read More” tags within each of the posts that display on your homepage. This way, it will only show a short excerpt of the post, instead of the entire text. Please see the following article on how to use “More” tags: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/2/
Let me know if you need any further assistance with this. Thanks!

Ok I think I solved the problem. One more thing, when I’m writing a new article there is a way to put a widget for the latest post. Is there the same thing for the latest portfolio?
Because I would like to have a widget “last portfolio” that shows me all my articles. Otherwise is there any way to have a page with just post but that look like a portfolio list, with featured images and small description? Sorry for the thousand questions and apologize for my english. Thank youemilysuesrq
Theme AuthorUnfortunately, it isn’t possible to substitute a post for a widget within a blog feed or portfolio.
You may create a separate Portfolio page, but will need to create each portfolio item as posts with Featured Images applied. Is this what you mean? Please clarify if you need further help. Thanks!
