Featured Posts to act only as display in main banner

    Hi Taras,

    Thank you for the awesome work you’ve put into the Venture theme.

    For my website (still in development), I’ve set some posts for my featured images in the main banner.

    I’d like for those images to act solely for aesthetic purposes. I don’t want visitors to the site to be able to click on them and be directed to their specific post page.

    Is there any custom CSS you can guide me with to enable this?

    Many thanks!

    The blog I need help with is appstock583628148.wordpress.com.

    Hello,
    Thank you for using the Venture theme! :)

    “Is there any custom CSS you can guide me with to enable this? “
    – Sure! Please try this custom CSS:

    .fullscreen-header .hentry a {
      cursor: pointer;
      pointer-events: none;
    }

    Here is a quick guide on how to add a custom CSS at WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/editing-css/

    Let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Kind regards,
    Taras

    Thank you so much, Taras!

    The solution worked perfectly.

    Additionally, I’d like to change the height of the featured images (all of them uniform in size) so that the first featured text is visible in the viewport, instead of the entire viewport being just the featured images.

    I have no problems with the images getting a little cut off in the width.

    Is this possible?

    Many thanks

    You are welcome! :)

    To modify a default height of the Featured Content section on the Front Page, you may try this custom CSS:

    @media (min-width: 500px) {
      .fullscreen-header,
      .fullscreen-header .hentry {
        min-height: 50vh;
      }
    }

    Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Thank you,
    Taras
