Featured image/featured post not working

I’ve been trying to add the featured image/featured post widget to my home page, but it’s not working. The slider widget works so long as I don’t put anything specific in the tag name area but as soon as I try putting anything in the tags, all of the featured widgets won’t show up at all.
The blog I need help with is writelikerowling.com.
Are you putting the tag slug in the field? If your tag name is “Featured Image”, the slug would be “featured-image”, it won’t register with the name.
