    I would like to change the size (height, mostly) of the image for the main featured article on the front page.

    I followed these steps https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-you-shorten-the-height-of-the-pics-in-the-featured-space?replies=3 which seem to work fine on desktop, but when I try to access the site over mobile, the image seems to get bigger but the “shading” in front of it stays the same.

    Here’s a screenshot for reference: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tJCRblr2fEbt0c-7e9tMSiFmt5MPakAD/view?usp=sharing

    How can I fix that?

    The blog I need help with is: techie.cr

    Hi there – thanks for the message. Glad it’s mostly working :)

    What are you expecting to happen on mobile? How would you expect the shaded area (with the post title) to change?

    I should be able to give you some custom css to tweak things but I am not sure I understand the problem at the moment.

    The size of the image looks fine on mobile (even without resizing it) so I’d like that to stay the same, it’s just the desktop look that I’d like to decrease.

    You can decrease the height of the main featured post on desktop with the following css:

    article.featured-post {
    padding-bottom: 30%;
    }

    You can change the 30% to whatever size you are happiest with.
