Featured Image Scaling

  • By default, I understand WordPress crops images to the center by width or height (whichever comes first). Is there a way (through custom CSS) to make the images scale to a width or height, rather than crop?

    I am trying to create images for the Hero Slider on my site that have a similar watermark in the upper right hand corner so as they fade the watermark appears to stay the same. The problem is if the window size changes the watermark gets cropped off.

  • There is not a way to change the positioning of the background image. With that said, it’s not to often users will be viewing your site and resizing the browser back and forth. Typically, we as site owners will do this to see how things look and respond; however, viewers are typically looking at the site and finding content.
