Hi there
thanks for this terrific theme.
I was just doing some testing before I go completely live with this site and noticed that the “Featured Content Slider” – which works fine Chrome and Safari on my Macbook – does not load the images properly on Safari on my iPad. Although it does work on Chrome on my iPad.
Hope you can help
Besst wishes

Hi Simon, we are glad to hear you think the theme is otherwise terrific! Thanks for the feedback :)
We’ll be glad to look into this for you. Are you able to provide screenshots (in link form) of the issue?
Thanks,
Emily-

Hi Emily
Forgive my ignorance, how do I send them in link form?
Best wishes
SimonSorry Emily
I think I’ve got it now
Both these images are screenshots from my iPad, as you can see hopefully the Chrome one is fine but the Safari is super zoomed-in and pixelated.
Hope to hear from you

Our developer is out of the office this week but will have him look into this as soon as he returns on Monday. Thanks for your patience while we look into this.
Ok Emily look forward to hearing from you next week.
Hi Simon,
Thanks for sharing your site, it’s looking great!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t replicate the issue in Safari on my iPad. I’ll assume this is because you’re probably using an iPad Pro with a different resolution.
Fortunately, there is a global fix. Try applying the following style:
.home-slider .slideshow .slides li.post { background-attachment: initial !important; }
This style will restrict the parallax effect of the slideshow images in desktop browsers. However, it should ensure the slideshow images do not appear zoomed on mobile devices.
I hope this helps. Thanks!
It works perfectly now – many many thanks David.
It is indeed an iPad Pro . but Safari now loads it fine.
While I am on – is there any way of making the slider go more quickly?
Best wishes
Simon
Hi Simon, unfortunately this isn’t an option with the WordPress.com version of the theme, but it is an option with the self-hosted theme version.
Let us know if you need further assistance – thanks!
