featured and recent posts display

    Does anyone still check these?

    I am wondering about a question that was asked a couple years ago – can a featured post also be listed within the recent posts? Or is there a way to make a page that shows all the blog posts with blurbs like the recent posts?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Where is the recent posts section you are referencing? Can you specify or link to that location on your site so I am sure I’m answering the correct question?

    On the home page (should be the link I initially included), the left hand side is scrolling featured photos from featured posts. On the right hand side, below the static photo is a list of recent posts. It’s not labeled “recent posts” but it’s the only place the theme really has a lists of posts and it excludes featured posts.

    Items added to the “Featured” items should still show on the main blog list on the home page. This might be a difference from the WordPress.com version and the self-hosted version we sell at UpThemes.com. I’m positive that the one we sell from our site does allow you to show the items on the featured slide show and still appear in the home page post list.

    I dunno – I bought the theme through WordPress.com but why would it be different from the self hosted version? You can see on my home page that the featured posts aren’t in the blog list on the right. DO you have any recommendations of how to fix it?

    Sometimes they are different because of limitations imposed by wordpress.com preventing us from certain features. The version we sell may include extras, things difficult to accomplish or not allowed on this site.

    When I go to the Customizer and choose “Featured Content Slider” there is an option to specify the tag used for displaying items in the slider. The default value is ‘featured’. Below that is a check box option for “Display tag content in all listings.” which if selected makes the times appear in the home page blog posts.
