    Hi

How do I stop all my featured thumbnail posts appearing as thumbnails and as posts on the home page? There’s some duplication going on!

Perhaps it might make more sense if someone could let me know how to attribute certain posts to pages instead? Is that done using categories?

    Thank you

    Lynsey

    Hello Lynsey,

You may want to uncheck the boxes to remove those posts from the featured thumbnails section. You’ll find more info on this in the theme documentation.

To make a page, you begin with the WordPress page editor, and to begin a post, you begin with the WordPress post editor. There’s no way to turn a page into a post or a post into a page after the fact. This tutorial may help: Post vs Page

    Hi

Thank you, I’m aware that you can’t convert posts to pages. I was wondering if you could categorise your posts so that they are featured on one of your pages.

On the Watson theme page for food: https://watsondemo.wordpress.com/category/food/ it says at the top ‘posts from the food category’

I wanted to know how to link my category with the page in that way.

    Thank you

    Hello Lynsey,

Oh yes! You can create a link to a category archive in your Custom Menu.

    Hopefully that clears that up!!
