Excerpt text of Custom Posts not appearing in Post Feed

    Hello, I am currently using the Pena theme in WordPress.
    Text in the excerpt metabox on my custom posts created in CPT UI is not appearing in a feed – only the content in the post.
    Support from the CPT UI plugin thinks there is a coding level tweak that needs to be done to show the excerpt, but is unsure exactly what that tweak should be. Can someone help with this?

    thank you for using our theme.

    Unfortunately customising theme code for other plugins is not part of the theme support as we would need to test this plugin and recreate your example. Also if you change the code in the theme and you update the theme it will overwrite your change. If you want to do this it’s better to use child theme and to customize the things you need. Unfortunately we don’t offer support for those things.
