    How can I make the font size of the text in my posts slightly larger?

    What is the default header font?

    The blog I need help with is batsandstats.com.

    Hi there

    The default font is Noto Serif.

    I can give you some custom css to change the size of the fonts. Do you only want to change the size of the blog post content, or the size of all fonts?

    If you want to scale up all the fonts you can use this:

    body {
        font-size: 14px;
    }

    Just blog posts is this:

    body article {
        font-size: 14px;
    }

    Just text content (not titles or meta data like dates) is this:

    body p {
        font-size: 14px;
    }

    The 14px can be adjusted to fit your needs.

    Thanks, that was quick. I’m finding your theme easier to use then I expected.

    How can I change the color of the text in a block quote?

    Also, on your website I see it appears that the featured content area is between the main post window and the right sidebar instead of just below the header image as it appears on my site. If I wanted to effect that look, how would I do it?

    The text colour in a blockquote can be changed with:

    blockquote p { color: #000; }

    The third column on the homepage is the featured categories section. There’s info on setting that up in the theme setup docs:
    https://wordpress.com/theme/broadsheet/setup

    Essentially you use the customizer to pick categories to display.

    Thank you. I am finding CSS quite interesting.

    1. How can I change the font in a blockquote. For example, to “Merriweather” sans serif?

    2. It seems to me that the spacing after a list is greater than the spacing after a paragraph. If that is correct, how can I make the spacing after a list the same as the spacing after a paragraph?

    One of the reasons I selected your theme is because of the quality of your support.

    I apologize if I am asking too many questions.

    Hi there – CSS is fascinating. One of the reasons I enjoy being a web designer :)

    1) We can change the font to other fonts that all users have, but unfortunately we can not add custom fonts without using the built in custom font functionality, which will change all fonts on the site.

    There’s info on using custom fonts here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-fonts/

    If you want to set the blockquote font to georgia for instance (which is similar to Merriweather) then you could use:

    blockquote p {
    font-family: Georgia, Times, Times New Roman, serif;
    }

    This uses a Georgia font stack so that everyone. Georgia first, and if the visitor doesn’t have it they get Times, then Times New Roman etc. You can see other good font stacks here:
    https://www.cssfontstack.com/

    2) You’re right – but that shouldn’t be the case. I’ve tweaked the theme to fix that.

    Thanks for adjusting the list spacing. It looks good.

    Could you also check the spacing after a blockquote?

    It seems to me that the spacing after a blockquote is different from that after a paragraph in this post.

    If that is correct, how can I make the spacing after a blockquote the same as the spacing after a paragraph?

    Good catch – that should probably be the same as well. I’ve tweaked that in the theme also.

    Thanks! :) Ben
