drop cap on first word missing
hello guys and girls of duet support, okay, so today i posted. this is the post: http://sweetmotherlover.wordpress.com/2012/05/15/getting-it-right/ – and the drop cap is missing on the first letter of my piece. i kind of really like that. i went into appearance and the default box for the drop cap is unchecked as it should be. i’m not sure why this suddenly went away. the only thing i’ve changed on my blog yesterday was to uncheck the box that caused all my commenters to receive every single blessed comment in their inbox after commenting on my post. then today it seems maybe that has somehow effected the drop cap? thanks for much for your help, guys. all the best, rebecca
The blog I need help with is: sweetmotherlover.wordpress.com
The way the drop-cap works in Duet is it looks for the first paragraph element on the page, and applies the drop-cap to that element.
However, on your recent post it appears you have a blank HTML paragraph at the beginning of your post – I think this could be caused by a blank line at the start of the post, perhaps? Check out your post content and let me know if that makes sense!
the reason i’ve been putting that paragraph blank in is because while i’m in ‘edit’ mode the viewer ‘eats’ the first line of text. it chops it off and makes it almost unreadable. i hit the return, so i can see the full post. and i’ve done that on a couple of posts now, since this started happening and this is the first one that the drop cap hasn’t appeared in. any ideas? rebecca
What browser are you doing your editing in? I’m not seeing the editor chopping off the first line, but I might be seeing it in a different browser than you.
Also, I’m not seeing the drop cap on your “WordPress Blog Awards Payment Time” post – are you seeing it there?
