Displaying logo at preferred size w/out excess white space

    Hi – I would really like my logo to show on the front page in a modest size with white space on both sides, but remove the few white space lines below it (where I’ve chosen not to display the site title and tagline). However, the only way I could figure out to do this was to make a logo image with alot of white space around it, which I’m sure may cause problems later. When I used a logo image of the recommended size, it displayed as huge, from one side of the page to the other, not at all like the example. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any guidance!

    The blog I need help with is woodbinefarmflowers.com.

    Hi,

    thank you for using our theme.

    You need to upload a smaller logo in size like this: https://veggiedemo.files.wordpress.com/2019/01/farmheader.png and without a white space around. Your logo is more than 1100px in width and this is why is too big.

    Hope this helps.

    All the best,
    Ana

    Hi Ana – I have tried a variety of logo sizes to stop it from displaying very large, and to get rid of the white space left behind bcs I don’t want to display the site title and tagline. I added the white space to the logo image to try to address this. I have now taken down the logo with white space and loaded one that is 510 x 150. I’m still seeing a great deal of white space under it. I would like it to look like the example you have posted with your theme support info, where there is not empty white space after the logo. Could you please give me the specific dimensions you recommend for a logo, and any other info needed to remove the white space below the logo so it displays as it does in your example (Logo no site title or tagline)?

    Hi,

    here is the link to download the logo: https://veggiedemo.files.wordpress.com/2019/01/farmheader.png. I made this for you and you can just upload it to your website and skip the cropping part. I tried it on our test site with the Veggie theme and it looks great. On our theme demo, our logo is 280x146px in size.

    If you want to reduce the margin between the logo and menu you can also use this in the Custom CSS:

    .site-branding {
        margin-bottom: -20px;
    }

    Hope this helps.

    All the best,
    Ana
