differences in image resolution

Hi there. When I upload an image from my media library to be a featured image in Axon it appears at a lower resolution than it does if I include exactly the same image within the body of the post. This is irritating as the key image looks slightly fuzzy (when the original file is fine), whilst images within the post are crisp and clear. The images I am using are very high resolution so it is not because of the image size and I am working on a Macbook Pro Retina so this does highlight the difference. Please can you help?

    Hello,

Image Resizing / Cropping is done by WordPress core and they should fine at any resolution. I have tested your site at Retina iPad and it seems to be working fine.

For our information, which image dimensions are you uploading to your blog so we can test these dimensions at our testing server.

FYI: Maximum image dimension for AXON is 1140×600 px

    Thanks

    Hello

The image sizes vary, but an example used recently is 4272 × 2848 within my media library. If they are being displayed at a lower resolution, might this be why the slightly larger featured image is less clear than a smaller post image?

I can still see a very clear difference, but that’s because I can see the original.

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback.

Difference might be possible due to cropping from such huge resolution and dimension to 1140×600 ( i.e. featured image dimension for Axon).

Please try to upload a small dimension image like (1920 x 1280) to have a test.

    Thanks
