    Hello gurus of WordPress,

I am the proud owner of a new WordPress blog and decided to buy the premium Publisher theme. I’m really looking forward to populating it with content but have one question before I do so.

I’m really keen to fully customise the header image. While I have added a new picture I would like to disable the automatic greyscaling and transparency the theme enables when I upload a new .jpg.

I noticed a current successful blog using the Publisher theme already does what I want to do. You can see the results here: http://ligiapop.com/

If anyone has any tips on how I can achieve the desired layout please get in touch.

    Many thanks,

    Dean.

    Hi Dean,
Thanks for your purchase! I’ll be removing the auto-grayscaling and transparency in an update soon, but until then you can use a bit of CSS to undo the effects. Do you have the Custom Design upgrade? If so, you can add this CSS to fix the header.

    #masthead .custom-header { -webkit-filter: none; filter: none; opacity: 1; }

You can also refer to this post in which I went into a little more detail about the header.

    Hope that helps!

That’s amazing. Thanks very much. Although I don’t know how to use CSS, yet, I did purchase the Custom Design tool especially for instances just like this.

    Thanks again.

    Dean.

    Hello again Mr. Author Man,

I have another question about the header image.

Using the site on my mobile to check out the responsive nature of the site (works brilliantly by the) I noticed the header image doesn’t quite go flush against the right hand side of mobile browser. Going back to the desktop I noticed the same white space between header and browser in Chrome.

Is there a solution for this?

    Thanks very much.

    Dean.

    Hey buddy,
Looks like the white line is coming from your header image! There is a slight white line on the right side. You can see it against a dark background: http://cl.ly/R7u8.

I went ahead and re-cropped it for you because I’m awesome. ;) http://cl.ly/R92n Use this image instead and the line should be gone.
