On switching to the mobile theme, the custom menu for the site doesn’t seem to be showing anymore. It looks like it has just reverted to a list of all the pages for the site, rather than the customised categories, etc.
Am I missing something obvious?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
the mobile theme which you’re referring to is built-in functionality on WordPress.com which isn’t related to your WordPress theme itself.
We’ve forwarded your request and you should get assistance soon.
There is a known issue with the mobile-theme menu where it may not consistently display custom menus. Since there are almost no unresponsive themes left in our theme collection, it’s not been a high priority to fix.
I’d suggest you disable the mobile theme as it’s intended only for very old themes that aren’t responsive. MH Magazine is already responsive, so it automaticaly adapts to any screen size. The separate mobile theme is not needed with this theme – the note “Awesome! Your theme, MH Magazine, is already deemed to be mobile-friendly.” in the WP Admin Mobile theme area mentions this.
Let me know if you have any questions.
That’s great, thanks. Turns out I didn’t have the site set to “responsive”, so the mobile version wasn’t automatically adjusting.
Sorted now. Thanks again!
Glad you’re all set!
