I’m having an issue with the cookie & consent banner. I don’t know if it is a bug or a conflict with the Collective theme. Basically, once you click on “agree and close” a white stripe is left at the bottom of the page even if you will refresh the page. Other users have had similar issues but I can’t find a suitable resolution:

Hi Paul,
I haven’t tested the cookie consent banner by Jetpack. However, I see it is currently applied to the site as a widget. Is there a way to add the banner to the footer of the site without adding it as a widget?
For some reason, the entire widget is not being hidden upon close, and it’s leaving an empty container with a padding, which is why you’re seeing that stripe at the bottom after closing.
If the only solution is to add the consent box as a widget, I’ll push a style update to the theme to resolve this.
Thanks!
Hi
Yes it really needs to be a consent widget, not in the footer. Can you let me know once the theme has been updated please.
Thanks
Hi Paul, we are working on an update now.
