Hi Ben,
When the sidebar is longer and longer, it pushes the comments section down, further away from the post content, creating a large space between them. This look wouldn’t be what not only me but also other Beacon users expect.
This link would make my explanation clearer: https://theieltshouse.com/2020/04/29/table-color-test/

I suppose that this cannot be changed by CSS, but HTML, which the theme developers have control over, can make a difference.
Another solution would be limiting the height of the sidebar, but there would also be plenty of users who want to put more information on this sidebar, and they wouldn’t want to be limited and to upgrade to the business plan, just yet.
If you could manage it, please consider making a change to the theme.

Hi Ken
You’re absolutely right – this is what happens with the theme. Unfortunately there’s no way to change this. The theme was designed to work this way.
By default there is post navigation under the content and sidebar, and the comments stretch full width (see an example here) but you have changed this with custom css. In the default layout this behaviour makes sense but I totally understand that it’s not ideal for everyone.
We were aware of this when we designed it but decided it was a worthwhile tradeoff.
The only real solution is to have less content in the sidebar I’m afraid.
Sorry about that – Ben
Thanks, Ben. I’d have to think of some other ideas to solve this.
