columns on homepage in Safari (new)

  1. Two days ago theme correctly displayed three columns but after loading security update on Safari it shows only two columns, both in my new blog and in the Maxwell demo. It displays normally in Chrome. Could it be Safari security update broke something in the theme?

    The blog I need help with is ilovemuldoon.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi there,

    Thanks for using Maxwell.

    The theme uses the new flexbox technology for the featured content area, and Safari is know to have some render bugs with it. So it seems likely that the update broke something.

    Can you tell me the version of Safari you are using? I will then check if I can reconstruct the issue and if any workaround in the theme is possible until the bug in Safari is fixed.

    Thank you!

    Best,
    Thomas

  3. Safari Version 10.1 (11603.1.30.0.34)
    running under OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6

    I had tried dumping browser cache and restarting Safari but it didn't help.

    Thank you.

  4. Thanks for the info.

    Can you please try to add this custom CSS code to your website to see if it fixes the issue. You can insert it on Appearance > Customize > CSS.

    .featured-posts .featured-post {
    	margin-right: -1px;
    }

    I'm still not really sure what Safari has changed with the recent updates.

    Best,
    Thomas

  5. Thank you! Your fix worked.

  6. Thanks for letting me know.

    I will update the theme and add the bugfix, which means you can remove the Custom CSS code in a few days.

    Cheers,
    Thomas
