Changing header image on each page

    I would like a different image to appear in the header of each page. How do I do that? (Sorry if it’s really obvious!!) Thanks.

    PS. I’ve been into the page attributes of each page and uploded an image there but when I previewed the page the image was still the same as the one on the homepage.

    Hi there – thanks for the message.

    To add a different header image on each page you can set a different featured image for the page. It sounds like you have done this but there is one criteria which is probably not clear – and that’s that you need to make sure the image is wider that 1440 pixels wide. The reason for this is that if the image is narrower then it won’t stretch the width of the page and so will look ugly/ inconsistent.

    So if you make sure your images are wide enough then they will replace your default header image.

    Hi again, I have another two questions:

    1. can I add text above the fold in this theme? On desktop, it looks like a vast white space (with a tiny logo in the middle) and there’s no immediate way of knowing what my services are. I want some text to appear along with my logo but I’m not sure how to do that. I hope that’s clear?

    2. my logo looks really small in the header but I understand (via WP support) that there’s no way I can make it any larger. Is that correct? If so, can you suggest how I can get around it? I’m not sure of where to place the logo, particularly because I want it to be immediately visible.

    Hi, me again :)

    In regards to my initial question, about changing header images, I’ve checked the size and some of them do exceed 1440 pixels wide but I can’t make it work.

    Is there something else I need to check? What should they be in height?

    For the logo questions. If you can make a new logo that contains all the text you want to use then I can give you some custom css to display the logo in the header. This is a little more technical but will let you use any size image.

    For the header images – sorry what I said didn’t work :(. The height of the image doesn’t matter. It will scale to fit the width. Could you give me a link to a page that isn’t working as expected so I can have a look? A link to the image you’re trying to use would be helpful as well.
