Changing default text color in theme

    Though in the output displayed on the Web the text color is black, in the block editor the text color is gray. I have asked WordPress support about that and they said that is determined by the theme. What can I do to make the default text color black in the block editor?

    Hi – the WordPress.com support people described this incorrectly I’m afraid.

    The reason the colour is black on the front of your website is because you changed the colour in the custom css. The colour you see in the editor is the default colour used by the theme.

    Unfortunately there’s no way to apply custom css changes to the editor so the colour there can’t be updated.
