Changing CSS hyperlink style

    Hello,

    I’ve noticed that the links in my blog are not showing up. i.e. the difference between a link and body text is not noticeable enough – I’m not actually sure if this has always been the case, or if I’ve just noticed it.

    In any case, I’ve tried adding CSS style to the custom design to make links a stronger colour or even just bold, but it doesn’t seem to stick – some links will change, most will stay the same.

    Also if I did change the body text link styles would that also change the menu styles? I’d rather that didn’t happen …

    I don’t suppose you have any code I could try, if this has come up before?

    Thanks,
    Lisa

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You could try the following for changing the link colours in your articles (to the same orange used elsewhere).

    section.entry a {
    color: #d67118;
    }

    If you want the links to stand out more you could try making the font bold as well:

    section.entry a {
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #d67118;
    }

    … Sorry, I spoke too soon! It works well in the post, but it’s also changing the titles of blogs on the homepage, which I don’t like. I want the titles to remain black. I only want the in-post links to be more visible.
    I’ve deleted the css change as I don’t want it to look this way, so I’ve saved a screenshot here: http://lapkatdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/screen-shot-2014-09-11-at-7-11-54-pm.png
    Any way we can just change the links within the posts?

    ah – ok. You can try this instead:

    .single section.entry a {
    color: #d67118;
    }

    Hello … I’m a bit slow sometimes, but I just noticed that the code you gave me to fix this issue doesn’t work on Pages only on Posts. It’s not a big deal, but is there code we can add to do this for the pages as well?
    cheers, Lisa
