    Hello,

    Please use this custom CSS to change a background color of these sections on the Front Page template:

    .homepage-widgets .widget:nth-child(2n) {
      background-color: #eeeeee;
    }

    Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Kind regards,
    Taras

    Thank you so much for your response, however I am adding custom css via the additional css from the main customizer section and nothing happens real time or when it is saved?

    Is the front page template somewhere else? Should i not be adding it into the additional css from the customizer?

    thanks again

    “Is the front page template somewhere else? Should i not be adding it into the additional css from the customizer?”
    – You are doing everything correct.

    “… nothing happens real time or when it is saved? “
    – Are you getting any errors? I’ve just checked your site and I do not see this custom CSS on your site. If you’ve removed it from your site then could you please add it again, so I can inspect why it does not work?

    Thank you,
    Taras

    Thank you for adding it back. I’ve checked your site and it still does not show this custom CSS. This is the reason why the section does not change its color.

    Usually, WordPress does not output custom CSS from Additional CSS when this option contains errors/typos.

    Do you have a lot of custom CSS in that option? If yes, could you please all your custom CSS, so I can inspect it?

    If you just have a few lines of custom CSS that can fit in a screenshot then could you please share a screenshot (https://snipboard.io/) of your Additional CSS option?

    Happy New Year to you and your family! Hope that joy and success follow you in every sector of life.

    Kind regards,
    Taras

    What a lovely message and I wish all those thing to you too Taras :)
    This below was the custom css I had in the additional css section.

    /*
    Welcome to Custom CSS!
    .site {
    To learn how this works, see http://wp.me/PEmnE-Bt
    */
    .author {
    display: none;

    I have had the website for many years now so not sure if i have changed the colour in the main css somewhere previously as can’t now see where that would be but I do remember it being very different to what it is now.

    I was adding this code you gave me below

    .homepage-widgets .widget:nth-child(2n) {
    background-color: #ffffff;
    }

    after the above code that was already there that I have included in the first part of this message. ?

    It really is the last thing I need to change on the site as that gold colour is just not a good fit with the rest of the site as it ages it so much. :)

    Thanks again Taras

    Thank you! :)

    Based on you posted CSS, I can see that it has an error. Please replace this custom CSS:

    .author {
    display: none;

    with this one:

    .author {
      display: none;
    }

    Then you can add the other CSS below. So, your custom CSS in that option should look like this:

    .author {
      display: none;
    }

    .homepage-widgets .widget:nth-child(2n) {
      background-color: #ffffff;
    }

    Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Kind regards,
    Taras
