    Hi guys,

    Love this theme within a very short period, with some help, it’s looking great.

    Can you tell me how to move, change, edit, the words that are central over each featured image please? ‘Home’ over the cyclist on the home page.

    Is it possible to remove the greyed out and keep the images as full?

    Thanks,

    Steve

    The blog I need help with is foreveryoungfitness.co.uk.

    Hello Steve,

    “Can you tell me how to move, change, edit, the words that are central over each featured image please? ‘Home’ over the cyclist on the home page.”
    – It’s a page/post title. You can change the title in the Page/Post Screen in your Dashboard ( How to change page title: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/new-page-screen/#page-title-and-permalink-url ).

    “Is it possible to remove the greyed out and keep the images as full?”
    – You can remove featured image overlay only by adding a custom css:

    .has-featured-img #single-featured-img-container .image-overlay {
       background: none;
    }

    Custom CSS is part of Custom Design, which is a feature of the WordPress.com Premium and WordPress.com Business plans.

    Please let me know if you have any other questions.
    Thanks.

    Brilliant with the CSS code worked a treat for un-greying the images. Thank you.

    The page/pots title thing though I hiccuped on. If I delete the page/post title the ‘Home’ button goes into melt down.

    I like the idea of having the words over the images but maybe somewhere else like bottom left. I can’t work out how to move them or change font size of that bit.

    Thanks

    Steve

    If you want to move your page title then please try this custom css:

    .page #single-featured-img-container .single-featured-img-inner {
       max-width: 100%;
       padding: 260px 0 40px;
    }

    .page .hentry .entry-header .entry-title {
       text-align: left;
       font-size: 38px;
    }

    Mate that’s excellent. Thank you soooooo much. Wish I had a bit more CSS skill but your help is prompt and bang on right so I don’t feel stuck and needing to learn it all.

    Thanks really appreciated.
