Change Menu Styling without Plugin

    Hi Guys,

    I’d like to change the menu styling (change the menu text colour, font, and the blockyness of the dropdown and hover over of the menu items to a more of a curve). Is this possible to do via adding in CSS?

    I’ve tried doing this with a plugin – Max MegaMenu – and that works fine with the big exception that it stops the menu working when the browser size is lowered to a mobile px width. It seems that this doesn’t work because I’m missing wp_footer() in the footer (see help article here: https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/the-mobile-menu-is-visible-but-nothing-happens-when-i-click-it/)

    So I’m happy to continue using Max MegaMenu, if styling via CSS isn’t possible, but I’d then like to know how best to add wp_footer(). However, I’d still prefer the simplest option with just some CSS to add-in if possible.

    Many thanks in advance for your help.

    The blog I need help with is sthelenwithoutpc.co.uk.

    Hello,

    “It seems that this doesn’t work because I’m missing wp_footer() in the footer”
    – The Fortune theme is based on WordPress coding standards and wp_footer() is an essential part of a WordPress theme.

    The theme is not missing this function. wp_footer() is always present on your site. An absence of this function would make your site nonfunctional.

    Moreover, there is no need to use a plugin to change styles of your primary menu. I will be happy to help you with it!

    Please try this custom CSS:

    #site-navigation a {
      font-size: 16px;
      color: #000000;
    }

    #site-navigation > ul > li > a {
      border-radius: 20px;
    }

    Also, I’ve just noticed an aliment issue in the primary menu. I am going to work on a fix today. For now, please add this custom CSS to your site:

    /* Temporary alignment fix. */
    .main-navigation > ul {
      text-align: right;
    }

    .main-navigation ul ul {
      text-align: left;
    }

    We can remove this temporary alignment fix once a new version is released. I’ll let you know when it’s ready.

    Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Kind regards,
    Taras
