    I’m using Business plan. I want the featured post slider to cover the entire width of the screen and not have white spaces on either sides.

    The blog I need help with is this:

    I have created a child theme. Please let me know what file I need to change and the change needed to make this possible.

    You can add this CSS:

    .featured-content .container {
        width: 100%;
        padding: 0;

    This should be enough to enlarge the featured content area.

    Please, let us know :)
    Thank you!

    Thank you this works! Can I also increase the width of the sidebar widgets area?

    Hello there,
    nice to hear that :)

    Yes, before you need to increase the container width. Then you can play setting a width to the main content and then the remaining space to the sidebar.

    This styles will be applied in screen resolutions bigger than 1330px:

    @media (min-width: 1330px) {
        #content > .container {
            width: 1300px;
        #primary {
            width: 900px;
            #secondary {
            width: calc(100% - 900px);

    Hope this helps. Feel free to change the values.

    Thanks a lot! One last thing. I have social media icons in the header bar on the top right. I want to change their size and make them a bit smaller. How can I do that?

    I don’t want the size of the social media icons in the footer to change though.

    Hi, nice to hear that.

    Add this CSS and set your own font size:

    #page .site-header .jetpack-social-navigation a:before {
        font-size: 22px;

    You are the best!
