    Hi guys,

    first of all great job with “Janice”, we love it! We are currently in the beta stage of our blog – launching soon – and I have a couple of questions concerning categories:

    When inside a category page, example:

    1. How can I remove the word “Category:” from the title “Category: Aliki’s posts”

    2 Can I introduce a widget in the right-hand coloumn that automatically displays a list of the other posts within that category – in this case all of Aliki’s posts?

    The blog I need help with is

    Hi Xander,
    thanks for writing and using Janice :)

    1. Well, unfortunalety the HTML code comes with “Category: name of category”, and it is not possible to select the first word with only CSS to hide it .

    You are bale to hide the entire section adding this CSS:

    .category .page-header {
        display: none;

    Other options is to hide the category title and add your title in the description field:

    So put the name of your category in the category description input and add this CSS:

    .category .page-header .page-title {
        display: none;
    .category .taxonomy-description p {
        font-size: 40px;
        font-size: 2.5rem;
        font-family: 'Lora', serif;
        margin: 0;
        padding-top: 10px;
        padding-bottom: 10px;
        text-transform: none;
        text-align: center;
        color: #000;
        font-weight: 400;
        font-style: italic;
        line-height: 1.25;

    2. Janice doesn’t have right sidebar for archive pages (categories/tags/search…) so you can add it via a footer Widget that shows only in that category or via the hidden widget area.

    Use the visibility option to select where they has to display:

    Thank you again!

    Thanks for the quick reply! Will try it, once WP solve the CSS editor issues, and revert.

    Meanwhile quick question: what is the default front of the Janice site header?

    Found it: google font Lora :)
