I’ve been having problems launching the gallery carousel of jpeg images of powerpoint slides. For weeks, maybe months, in Internet Explorer, the slides were offset to the far right. Then last week, I could not launch the carousel at all either in Firefox 26 or IE 11.
WordPress thinks it’s a problem with the Modern News theme specifically since another user has the same complaint and mention “there’s an errant bit of js code that appears in the footer.” I have no idea what that means.
The carousel launches when I’m logged in (though still with slides pushed to the right), but not when I’m logged out.
A link to an example slide set is http://thepracticalpsychosomaticist.com/2014/01/29/cpcp-rapid-two-step-screen-for-delirium-by-medical-students/#jp-carousel-22583
I notice today when I’m logged in that the slides are not pushed to the far right in FireFox (old vers on my office computer).
I’m also having trouble with the WordPress Presentation Shortcode as well. The slides can’t be viewed consistently. Sometimes it works and often it doesn’t. That also is keyed to whether I’m logged in or not. It seems to work when I’m logged in, but when I’m logged out, I get the message:
“This slideshow could not be started. Try refreshing the page or viewing it in another browser.”
