cant get featured content to display

  I have setup the featured content via customizer and then add the tag to a page. Can i feature a page instead of a post? If so, where should I be seeing the content? I cant see it anywhere.

  Yes, you can feature a page and post as well.

  Featured Page or Post will be visible in the Featured Content area. Following Dicot documentation will be helpful to you.

  where is the featured content area? i have done exactly what setup has said and i am not seeing the featured content area.
