    I recently purchased the Nexus layout but am not able to fully customise it, the main issue being, I cannot change the colours or background. What do I need to do?

    Thanks.

    Hi.

    You should be able to customize colors and background via Dashboard / Appearance / Customize.

    It is also possible to add the following CSS code to change the background color:

    body {
        background-color: #eee;
    }

    You can change the color value to your liking: http://www.colorpicker.com/

    The problem is that it is not saving and showing the changes I have made after customising the Colours & Background. I have refreshed, logged in and out again, and it’s not making the changes when published :(

    Nexus does not support a custom background colour. What you have the option to do without Custom Design is to select one of the three featured palettes:

    Customize Jellysimlit

    Custom CSS is available with the Premium or Business plans and would let you make modifications to individual HTML elements with CSS code, as Yuri suggested above.

    Can you describe step-by-step exactly what changes you are trying to make, and how you are trying to make them, so I can explore further and see if there may be a bug here? Thanks.

    Kaythrynwp,

    I go into Customise > Custom Design > “Try Now” option > I select the colour palette I want > Save & Publish.

    No changes have been made. Am I limited to the 3 featured palettes only?

    Thanks

    “Try now” allows you to experiment with Custom Design features before purchasing a plan, but it doesn’t let you save your changes without purchasing the upgrade.

    Am I limited to the 3 featured palettes only?

    A free account comes with three featured palettes for Nexus. Paid plans offer six palettes, as well as the ability to pick your own colours for each element.
