When I try to customize my site or edit CSS, the following error is thrown and WordPress Support said it is an issue on the Label Theme’s end. Please look into this as soon as possible.
    https://dailycdev.com/wp-admin/customize.php?
    Here’s the error.

    500 Internal Server Error
An error occurred while processing this request.

And the backend Error from WordPress support:

I’m afraid I can’t help with problems like this that create php errors. It looks like some code is deleting a core WordPress function (get_header) but since I can’t access the server I can’t help.

Since you have a business account you can contact WordPress.com support and they will be able to look into this for you:

    https://wordpress.com/help/contact

I’m always happy to answer your theme related questions in this forum, but those other support avenues may be faster, and you’ll always get a wordpress.com staff reply.

Wordpress Support says this needs to be fixed on your end….
This is the error I see: [08-May-2019 13:55:27 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /wordpress/themes/premium/label/index.php:8
    Stack trace:
    #0 {main}
thrown in /wordpress/themes/premium/label/index.php on line 8

Because of this I get a 500 Error when customizing my site.
Something has changed on the Label theme and even reinstalling the theme doesn’t help.
This is causing me to run only a limited number of plugins now (22), where anything more crashes the customize feature of wordpress.
This was never an issue before and switching to another theme, I can have all my plugins I need active and have no issues.
According to wordpress support, your theme is causing the problem, not the plugins.
    Please look into this.

Really sorry but I can’t help I’m afraid – the WordPress.com support is wrong. The theme was last updated in November 2018 so, assuming it’s worked since then, something else must have gone wrong.

    get_header is a standard WordPress function – https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/get_header/

If it doesn’t exist (which is what the error says) then something else is going seriously wrong.

Without access to the server there’s nothing I can do to debug the problem, and since I don’t work for wordpress.com I can’t get access to the server.

If you can contact the team again and point them to this post then they can see my explanation. They have my contact details if they want to talk to me about it.

I’m happy to fix bugs in the theme but since I can’t do any debugging I don’t know what to fix.

    This issue is now resolved.
Wordpress support figured out that it was an issue with the amount of CSS revisions on my site. Removing those and limiting them to 100 fixed the php errors.
Thanks again for looking at the issue on your end.
