Dev,
This is a little wacky, I understand, but for the purposes of running ads or inviting our readers to subscribe to our e-mail list, I’d like someone on the homepage to click on a post that doesn’t go to a standard post, but rather, either to an external URL or our signup form, etc.
– can a homepage tile be used to navigate somewhere other than a post?
– Is there a way to change an individual post’s appearance on the homepage? I would like to be able to enter CSS to give our ad posts a stroke, for example, or to create posts (again, primarily for house ads) that don’t require a title be visible on the homepage.
Can you help? We’re kind of struggling right now.

Hi. For display ads, I would suggest using a sidebar and inserting them as a widget.
CSS changes are possible to specific posts. Each post includes a number of classes, including the taxonomy its tagged in. However, directing the post to an alternate url is not possible on WordPress.com as would require edits to the theme code.
