MemberFor as clean as the theme is I am running into an issue that I can’t seem to solve. For a magazine/newspaper designed WordPress theme there is no byline that highlights the name of the author for the published post. Is this an oversight on my part or by UpThemes not including a byline for writers? It would seem to be a massive oversight on their part so I’d love there to be a solution to that so writers can be displayed by name next to their work.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Theme AuthorYou’ll need to add information to the user details. Go to the “Users” area of the admin and edit the user/author you want to have their byline appear.
Once in the edit screen for the user, add details to the “Biographical Info” field and save the user. Once this information is added you should see the author information (name, photo, details and link to all posts) at the end of every post in the index and full post page.

MemberHello, I want to add byline too. I followed the instructions but couldn’t find the option. Users->edit
Thanks in advanceAndy, that doesn’t work. There is no display of the author of a published post anywhere under this theme and that’s really the one issue I have with it. Even it were just the name attached somewhere around the title. But it doesn’t show up at all. And a previous thread on here was answered in the exact manner and wasn’t resolved. https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/several-formatting-issues?replies=2

Theme AuthorLook at the demo. See the author details after each article? They show both on the index and single posts.
Yeah, but that isn’t happening in the not demo under your explanation as to having that appear.

MemberI still can’t do it :-(
prescottroberta: I think it’s sadly something out of our hands -but- hopefully something that can be addressed in an update of some kind. Again, to UpThemes, I really -really- love the look and performance of the DailyMag theme. I also greatly appreciate the quick feedback on here, too. I just can’t get the author byline to appear no matter how much troubleshooting or tinkering I do. So, fingers crossed for an update of some sort.

MemberI went to user -> edit but it does not have the option to show the author of a published post. The better option would be to show the author right bellow the headline, just the name. Are you sure DailyMag theme supports byline author with the post? thank you

Theme AuthorAs best I can tell this is a difference in the WordPress hosted version of the theme. The self-hosted version sold on our website has this feature built into the theme and is enabled by default.

MemberGot it. I hope WP can offers it in the WordPress hosted version.
Is there any further developments on this issue being fixed for the WordPress version of this theme?

MemberI’m interested as well. I’m looking forward halving byline on my articles at adestramentobrasil.com

Theme AuthorWe forked the versions long ago and there are no plans to merge them so the differences will likely always exist. The version sold on UpThemes.com has this feature but we aren’t planning to add it to the WordPress.com version.
