I used to be able to do this, but the whole system has changed. How do I add social media icons to my main menu? Thanks.

There is a section in the theme documentation that outlines how to display a social link in the primary navigation.

Let me know if you have tried that and how it worked for you.

    This is what it says:

    Go to Appearance > Menus
    Create/edit your a menu.
Click on “Screen Options” and check the “CSS Classes” checkbox.
Add a custom link to your social profile.
    Click “Add to menu”.

There is no longer an ‘Appearance’ option in the interface. The interface has been totally changed. Someone really needs to update these support files. Incredibly frustrating.

Yeah, WordPress continues to update its dashboard where new features and functionality are carried over from the WP Admin. That said, most of the documentation was for the WP Admin and has now been updated. Some of the setting still need to be access via the WP Admin or via the Customizer as they are not yet available in the new dashboard.

That said, in the updated documentation, I’ve outlined how to add classes to menu items via the Customizer. This can also be done via the My Sites > WP Admin > Appearance if you are more familiar with that approach. Let me know if you have any questions.
