Adding "Read More" To Homepage Articles

    Hello Again Ampersand Team,

    As I was looking through other blogs using the Ampersand theme, I noticed that some of them had shortened versions of their articles on their homepage, followed by “Read More,” which was hyperlinked to the full article page.

    I would love to do this, partially to clean up my homepage, but also because it would give me a better sense of what articles people are reading. Right now, my stats just show most people scrolling through the Homepage.

    Is there a string of code I can insert to do this – like I did to fix the background color of the “Share This” box, or is it something I need to do in each individual post?

    You can create those excerpts by adding the More tag to any post.

    Thanks OkayThemes! I had a feeling it would be a simple solution, but I wasn’t expecting it to be that easy! Clearly I need to play around with those buttons a little bit more!
