Hello! I’m using Port theme for my professional website and have the $99 premium upgrade. I’ve placed my biography in the “Recent Projects Description text box on the home page, accessible in the “Customize” mode. It appears between the header and the nine projects I have displayed. I would like to add paragraphs to it, but despite entering them in the text box, it is displaying as one continuous paragraph. Is it possible to change this, perhaps using CSS? I tried typing
where I’d like the paragraphs to be, but it just showed up as text. Please help! Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: shaunadegruchy.com

    Hi,

I’m afraid the Recent Projects Description box is not designed to handle html tags. It’s for text only.

Thanks for your response. Is there a way of adding a different text box of sorts before the projects that would allow for paragraphs?

    You’re welcome.

    No, I’m afraid not.

    Hello,

After more searching, I may found a way around it myself- I just entered the biography into the page itself from the ‘edit’ option and it is now displaying as I want, but it is located underneath the portfolio section and not above it. I remember reading somewhere that it is possible to change the order of the homepage content (testimonials, posts, etc) with CSS. Would it be possible to just reverse the places of the homepage content and the portfolio?

    Thank you,

    Shauna

Reordering those sections would require modifying the theme HTML and PHP, which is not possible on WordPress.com.
