Premium Theme Support › The Theme Foundry › Oxford Adding new strings to Polylang Author Posts February 7, 2020 at 11:00 pm #151220 campinardMember Hi, just built a new site and using Polylang plugin for English to French translation. Polylang is identifying all strings that need to translated (eg keep reading). I found this recommendation https://ivanblagojevic.com/2018/04/how-to-add-new-string-in-polylang/ but this requires access to Header.php and Functions.php. Now when connect SFTP through cyberduck and go to the Oxford Theme, I get an error message that states “No such file. Please contact your web hosting service provider for assistance.’ How do i get into the Header.php and Functions.php files? Or is there another way? The blog I need help with is thepinard.org. February 7, 2020 at 11:02 pm #151222 campinardMember sorry, Polylang is *not* identifying all strings February 8, 2020 at 3:30 pm #151228 campinardMember I think I fixed it. In case this happens to anyone else. Current Quebec French is not supported (https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom%2Fthemes%2Foxford/fr-ca/default/). It’s available as an option in Polylang but not yet supported by WP. Use French FR from the list and it seems to all be working.
