Adding blog posts to my pages

Hello again!
Is there a tutorial for this template? I have my page set up and I am making progress but I can’t seem to figure out how to make a blog post fall under a particular page. I keep doing ‘tests’ and posting them but they keep going to the main page and not under their respective page. I could be doing things all wrong :(
Appreciate the help! SandraThe blog I need help with is sandraindc.com.
Hi Sandra,
Documentation can be found here: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/profile/support/.
Posts will display under the page you assign as the ‘Post’ page under Appearance > Customize > A Static Front Page. If they are only displaying on your homepage, this must be because you have your settings set to ‘Your Latest Posts’ which means your blog page is your home page.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Rebecca
Hi Rebecca,
I have static front page selected and they still post to my front page. What do you think I could be doing wrong? I only get the option to select a category and it still does not post to the respective page. Thanks, SandraHi Sandra,
Which template have you set for your home page (this is the option you selected under the Page Attributes dropdown when creating the page)? Also, which page do you have assigned as your ‘post’ page? It does look like your home page is set to the blog template from what I can tell.
Thanks,
Rebecca
Hi Rebecca,
I don’t recall, sorry, I set the site up in January and am just now getting to designing it. Once I get the page attributes set up I will be good. I am trying to figure it out… Any chance a quick phone call? Thx SandraHi Sandra,
I’m sorry we don’t provide phone support at this point. You will need to confirm which page templates you have setup and the reading settings as both of these will impact where your posts are displayed. Once you’ve double checked this let me know if you’re still having trouble doing so.
Thanks,
Rebecca
