Adding Author Name

    Hi Again!

    Love this template!

    Is it possible to also add the AUTHOR SLUG near the date stamp you added to individual articles?

    Right now, there’s no author credit — unless you scroll to the end and read the Gravatar bio and then presume that bio means that person wrote the piece.

    If you can’t put the author slug near the headline on the article page, can you at least make some sort of “Author Bio” indicator near the Gravatar bio at the end?

    Readers are confused as to who wrote what — and I didn’t really notice it until they made the point — and now I get it!

    Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is bolesblogs.com.

    If you’d like, you can add some indicator text to the Author Bio using some custom CSS. Here is a CSS snippet to get you started.

    .author-box:before {
      content: "Author Bio";
      line-height: 1;
      margin-bottom: 20px;
    }

    I don’t like adding CSS to templates because it affects the look of the page load.

    I just added your CSS suggestion to test it out and nothing happened. There’s no author slug I can find.

    I’ve updated the snippet with the correct class name. Give it a shot now.

    Yeah. Not what I’m looking for. Ugly! Not an author slug. Thanks, though.

    Actually, it looks like we did include section heading element that can be made visible using CSS. The following CSS will make that heading visible; be sure to remove the other CSS if you haven’t already.

    .author-box-title {
      height: auto;
      position: static !important;
      width: auto;
    }

    If you’re not happy with the way it looks, feel free to add CSS styles to make it look the way you’d like.
