Adding a Link on the Sidebar
-
I would like to add a button or image on the sidebar that is a link the user can click to go to our “Free Trial” webpage. Can you tell me how to do this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there 👋🏼
Start by uploading image to your Media Library. Then, head on over to Appearance → Widgets and drop an Image widget into your sidebar and fill out the inputs.
I hope this helps!

hi there,
I’m confused! How do I get to Appearance > Widgets in order to drop a widget into the sidebar??
I can see Widgets in the Customiser for the theme, but then there are only 3 options: the 3 footer sections.
I am struggling to find how to add widgets to the default sidebar and how to then edit them.
any help appreciated, thanks, Sue

Ah! I think I know the cause, Sue 😀
The Customizer shows widget areas only for those templates that support them. So, try navigating (with the Customizer open) to either your blog, or a page using the Default or Left Sidebar templates. Once you’re there, the Sidebar widget area should show up.
Let us know how you go!
