Add link in footer after theme credit

    Hi!

    My website is *almost* done, but I have one final question.

    I’d like to add a credit in my footer for my logo designer.

    I’ve already added my own copyright line in there, so I could just tag it on to that, but I was hoping to put this credit after the theme credit instead, if possible.

    What would be the necessary CSS code to do that?

    Oh – and I’m also hoping to link to her webpage – how would I do that?

    Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is liliathandpenumbra.com.

    Unfortunately, you can only put in one line of text in the copyright area. Could you give this credit elsewhere in the site? Perhaps in an about page?

    Oh no – I get that (and I can fit the credit in with the copyright if necessary).

    My question was about placement, and whether I could instead put it after the theme credit (and how to put a link to her website in there as well).

    Ah…got it!

    You can give this a try, but it may not work well in all browsers:

    footer ul {
    float: left;
    }
    footer li {
    float: right;
    }

    Well, that didn’t really do what I was hoping to do, but thanks! (And I guess I can’t put a link in my footer?)

    One more question, though: how do I move post titles for video posts to the top of the card instead of the bottom of the card?

    OK. Wait. Let me expand that question:

    1. How do I move post titles for video posts to the top of the card instead of the bottom of the card? And,

    2. How do I make the shadow of video cards (which is sort of gray) match the shadow of regular cards (which is sort of white)?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

    1. There is no good way to do this. You could try tinkering with the “position” and “top” properties for the title, but this will usually cause other layout issues throughout the site.

    2. If you look at the “.card” elements, you will see that the shadows are actually the same color. They just appear different due to the cards being different colors.

    Actually, I’ve changed the video cards to be the same color as the other cards – but the shadow is different (now, when I look closer, it looks like the other cards have their reflection showing – as if they’re further back – whereas the video cards have shadows, as if they’re further forward…).

    Hi there!

    Unfortunately, I cannot access your blog as it is marked private. I am basing my comments on our demo version of the theme.

    I can tell you that the shadow is set on the “.card” element using the box shadow property. You will likely need to adjust that CSS. Hopefully that points you in the right direction!

    Yes, I’m keeping it private until it’s finished (and until I’ve officially launched my company) – but I could invite you to it, if that would help.

    I’ve tried copying the CSS for the box shadow property, but “-webkit-box-shadow,” “o-box-shadow,” and “-moz-box-shadow” don’t seem to translate. Same with “-webkit-border-radius” and “-moz-border-radius.”

    How do I fix that?

    Hi there!

    It’s going to be really difficult to provide any assistance without seeing it live. Also, detailed CSS customization help like this is a bit outside the scope of our support.

    OK. That’s why I offered to invite someone to see it.

    But if it’s really that difficult to change, it’s not a huge deal. I’m just being a perfectionist – I’m pretty sure no one will really notice except me.

    Good luck with getting the site launched!
