Add About Me and Contact Links

Hello! I have recently downloaded The Writer theme through WordPress Premium and am looking to use it as a platform for my writing. I wanted to know how I can include links at the top of the page such as an ABOUT section, and CONTACT section. Then, I would probably want to know how to add pictures, links, etc. to those pages. But, first things first.
