    Hi there!

    When a menu link is selected (active) the background color remains equal as its default (non active). How to change the active link background color?

    When a menu link is selected (active) the text of the link blurs (shows a shadow). How do I disable that effect?

    Many thanks
    Ralph

    Hi Ralph, you can change the background of the active menu link using custom CSS. Here is an example where I have set the background to blue:

    .nav-menu .current-menu-item > a {
        background-color: blue;
        border-color: blue;
        color: #EA412C;
    }

    It looks like you already figured out how to remove the text shadow?
