About me/Home trouble

    Hello, I have a hard time setting up the About me/Home-page.

    I’ve followed the steps described here.

    The problem is that I either get the About me featured box displayed, or I get the home-page with my blog posts. I can’t manage to get both to display at the same time.

    When I have the Home-page’s page attributes set to the “Home Page” template and the About me-content to “Featured Image” template. Only the About me-content shows up.

    If I change the Home-pages’s page attributes to Default, the About me-content disappears but the latest blog posts show up.

    The Home-page I’ve created only contains one block displaying my blog posts.

    One more thing, the social links doesn’t show up in my About me-content either.

    Sorry for bringing up this subject again but I couldn’t find someone with the exact same problem.

    Hello,

    Please check and make sure that you have your homepage set to display “A Static Page” under Customize > Homepage Settings.

    Regarding the social icons, follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Customize → Theme.
    2. Enter links to your social media profiles within the appropriate fields.
    3. Click the blue Save button at the bottom.

    Note: Social media icons will be displayed with a link to the profile within the featured page section on the home page template, and within the footer of the theme.

    Hello,

    Thank you very much for your reply. The problem is still unsolved though.

    Of course, the site is set to a static page. As I mentioned, I either get the “About me” featured content or the static “home page” with the latest blog posts depending on the page attribute settings.

    Home Page-template setting → About me box shows up
    Default-template setting → Abou me box disappears and the latest blog posts show up.

    And about the social media icons, thank you!
