Misleading Advert.

    Hi There, I'm extremely disappointed with WordPress' level of blog customisation and I think your advert is misleading.

    Having paid: U$ 25.00 p/year for a personal domain and another U$ 100 to customise my Blog exactly how I wanted (as adverted by yourselves), you would have thought that futures will be available to use as advertised.
    I have subscribed for a theme called AVID and the format, fonts and colours available to use just simply do not reflect what your advert says.
    I CANOT CUSTOMISE IT HOW I WANTED. I CAN NOT EVEN CHANGE THE COLOUR TITLE! Fonts, colours and other features do not work as advertised. Having spent hours trying to get a simple blog up and running, the level of service received by WordPress is terrible.

    I have no other choice but cancel the purchase as I'm not satisfied. I could reconsider should you provide me with a decent level service as promised.

    Hey Agatha,

    I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience. To be honest, WordPress has one of the smallest learning curves of any content management system, but there is still a learning curve. It sounds like you may have expected customization to work a certain way, and it hasn't worked out that way - perhaps we can sort out your issue.

    Could you explain exactly which title colors you're trying to change, and we can explain how to do it.

    Of course, if you're not satisfied, you can request a refund by going to the Store → My Upgrades, assuming you're within 30 days of your purchase.

    I must admit I'm having a similar experience - can't seem to do quite as much as I had expected.

    It looks like the colour combinations are limited to palettes that WordPress suggests and we can't choose our own colours?

    Honestly a lot of this would be a lot simpler if we (the buyers) knew there was a video to help us set our blogs up. I was trying to change things for over 2 hours before I found the video.

    I feel very misled. I purchased the Avid theme and also have been trying to change the text color. I was able to change the background but now my text blends into it and I can't even find the above displayed color change option without purchasing an upgrade separate from the theme. The preview seemed to include this (as well as opt-out for background textures) but now that its purchased I can't find them. Please help.
