    How do I replicate the slideshow setup on my site? It’s this sort of thing I’m after:

    Hello,

    You can setup the slideshow page template by following the steps listed bellow:

    1) Create a new page and assign it to the Slideshow Page Template under ‘Page Attributes’.
    2) Add NEW media to the page using the ‘media uploader’.
    3) Once the images are uploaded you can use the gallery tab if you need to re-order.
    4) ‘X’ out of the media uploader (note you do not need to ‘insert into page’ as this will duplicate your images.
    5) Publish your page and add to your menu.

    Hi Rebecca,

    Are you talking aboutthe new editor (white bg), or the old one (black/dark bg)?

    I have got it to work, but I have two issues:

    1. Featured image does not appear (this page is currently a draft)
    2. When editing the page, I cannot see which images make up the slide show; can they be edited, changed?

    Hi Ciprian,

    I’m not sure I follow in terms of the editor. Can you clarify this?

    Let’s review the issues:

    1) If you use the slideshow page template, the featured image will not display as that area is set to display the images you have uploaded in the slideshow.
    2) The only way to edit the images is to re-arrange them through the media-uploader under the gallery tab. They will not, nor should they, display in the editor area. The simplest way is to make sure when you upload your images the first time (as mentioned in the instructions you need to upload NEW media) make sure everything is as you want it to be.

    On the editor (dashboard) front, this is what I mean:

    I think I got to grips with everything, including the lack of a header image. But why is my title “greyed out” rather than white as in the demo (or my other pages): http://bodyworksfc.com/gallery/

    Finally, what are the recommended dimensions for photos in the slideshow section?

    Hi Ciprian,

    I was referring to the old editor, however all the same options should be present in the newer version.

    I’m not sure why the title is greyed out. Have you added any custom CSS to change headlines elsewhere? You can solve this by adding the following CSS to the Custom Design or Custom CSS add-on:

    .headline {
    color: #FFFFFF;
}

    In the demo we use images 1600x800px for the slideshow template. This should be the ideal dimensions for you also.
