Deleting "Comments Are Closed" from posts

    Hi, I'm wondering how I can delete the writing "Comments Are Closed" that shows up at the bottom of my blog posts' pages. I don't have the box marked "Allow for comments." Is there a way to get rid of this? Thanks for the help!
    Here's a page that shows it, down at the bottom: http://rivierahomeowners.wordpress.com/2012/03/21/filming/

    The blog I need help with is rivierahomeowners.wordpress.com.

  2. Hey there,

    If you have the Custom CSS upgrade, you can hide this by adding the following CSS to your stylesheet:

    /* Hide comments are closed text */
    #comments .note { display: none; }

    If you don't have the upgrade, I don't have a good solution for you - that text is hard-coded in the theme, unfortunately.

    I'll file a ticket for our next round of updates - I'm thinking we should remove that text if comments are closed and there aren't any comments. Just as fair warning: it may be a while before we do this update, so the CSS option is much faster.

    Let me know if you have any questions.

    Hey Adam, I have CSS, it worked great! Thanks so much, but yeah, I agree that's it's kinda funny that it even says it considering if you don't allow comments, obviously they're closed :)

    Thank you so much for your help, as always!

  4. No problem, I'm glad it's worked out for you :).

    We'll work on that ticket before too long!

    I'll close this topic now, but feel free to start another if you have any more questions!
